Manager, Finance - GL Accounting

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks for multiple global entities, ensuring alignment with local controllers.
• Review and approve journal entries, including cash, payroll, and accruals, while maintaining centralized documentation.
• Manage intercompany workflows to ensure accurate eliminations and reconciled cross-entity transactions.
• Review and sign off on balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all items follow a "ready-to-reperform" standard.
• Lead the resolution of aged or unsupported balances and direct team clean-up efforts.
• Supervise the team in providing comprehensive support for external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
• Manage the team’s daily workload, set KPIs, and provide coaching on accounting matters and ERP proficiency.
• Act as a subject matter expert to support business initiatives, system implementations, and process streamlining.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant (ICAI) certification.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience at a global enterprise.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
• 3-5 years of experience working within a multi-entity or global environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle ERP (or comparable systems) and GL close workflows.
• Expert Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with SOX compliance and US GAAP requirements.

• Master's degree in Accounting.
