About the role
Responsibilities
- Consolidate total Canadian P&C actual results and forecasts.
- Manage and execute all competitive reporting for the Canadian P&C business independently.
- Develop detailed financial and economic analyses to provide decision support for business leaders.
- Perform variance analyses and forward-looking assessments to identify business drivers and performance opportunities.
- Create executive-level presentations and decks to communicate financial insights.
- Integrate information from multiple financial and operational systems to streamline reporting processes.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor, providing specialized consulting and technical support to assigned business groups.
- Assess the reasonableness of business cases and perform due diligence during investment reviews.
Requirements
- CA or CPA designation.
- 10-12 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including index/match).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Proven experience in consolidation reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influence skills.
- In-depth verbal and written communication skills.
