Manager, Facilities & Equipment Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient facility operations and maintenance.
• Oversee the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of building infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing machinery.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Forecast, manage, and monitor the facilities department budget throughout the fiscal year.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for third-party services such as cleaning, waste removal, and security.
• Coordinate with department heads to minimize production downtime during repairs.
• Plan and execute facility improvement projects from concept through completion.
• Document all maintenance activities in accordance with SOPs and cGMP regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 8 years of equivalent experience without a degree.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and technical work.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and basic chemical safety procedures.
• Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience with Automation, PLCs, SCADA, Controls, and Vision systems.
