About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of facility systems across five sites in India, including power distribution, water treatment, and steam systems.
- Manage electroplating lines, including anodizing, plating baths, and wastewater treatment processes.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, engineers, and contractors, including performance reviews and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards in a chemical manufacturing environment through audits and risk assessments.
- Optimize energy usage, utility costs, and sustainability initiatives while maintaining high equipment uptime.
- Prepare budgets, track KPIs such as equipment reliability and maintenance costs, and generate reports for senior leadership.
- Respond to facility emergencies, including chemical spills or utility outages, maintaining a zero-incident safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 13–15 years of experience in facility and maintenance operations.
- Proven experience in chemical, specialty chemicals, or electroplating manufacturing environments.
- Extensive experience managing multi-site operations and leading diverse teams in India.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (LT Panel, SLD, PLC, BMS) and HVAC operations.
- Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with CMMS and EHS management systems.
- Understanding of water treatment plants (WWTP, STP, RO, DI) and hazardous waste management.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
- Experience managing both local and global teams.
- Strong expertise in fire fighting systems and emergency/BCP management.
