About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary facilities engineering team, including electrical, mechanical, and project engineering staff.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for all building infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Develop and sustain comprehensive electrical safety programs and design standards that meet all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the optimization of Building Automation Systems (BAS) to improve energy efficiency and operational visibility.
- Direct preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and asset life.
- Lead long-term capital planning, including facility condition assessments and infrastructure investment prioritization.
- Manage the facility’s infrastructure capital budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Oversee engineering and construction projects from scope development through commissioning and completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities engineering or large-scale industrial facility operations.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, distribution, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong background in mechanical systems and HVAC, including troubleshooting and energy conservation.
- Proven experience leading facility and infrastructure projects, including design and construction.
- Proficiency with CMMS, engineering software, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Strong financial acumen for managing capital and operating budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS) in engineering or engineering management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with facility condition assessments and asset lifecycle analysis.
