Manager, Facilities & Campus Operations

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for structural trades, custodial, and grounds/landscaping teams to ensure a safe and aesthetic campus.
• Manage diverse teams of skilled tradespeople, custodial crews, and groundskeepers, including hiring and training.
• Oversee complex operational budgets and manage procurement for equipment.
• Negotiate high-value vendor contracts for specialized services.
• Implement rigorous cleaning protocols and perform regular inspections to ensure health and safety standards.
• Oversee repairs to structural elements including roofs, facades, windows, doors, and walls.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, local building codes, ADA requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Utilize a CMMS to schedule and track preventive maintenance for structural assets and equipment.
• Lead logistical responses for weather-related events (snow/storm recovery) and internal emergencies to ensure 24/7 campus safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational or technical training or degree.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience within Grounds, Structural Trades, or Custodial departments.
• Experience managing operational budgets.
• Experience managing supervisor-level employees, including developing objectives and providing clear communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Construction Supervisors License.

Benefits

• Anticipated hiring range of $85,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
