Manager - Expatriate Tax

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Canadian and US expatriate tax engagements for internationally mobile employees, including inbound and outbound assignees
• Review complex Canadian and US personal income tax returns and associated deliverables to ensure technical accuracy
• Advise clients on cross-border employment, compensation matters, and emerging global mobility tax issues
• Manage engagement economics, including budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring timelines
• Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to Senior Tax Staff and Tax Staff
• Oversee tax technical research and apply conclusions to compliance and advisory deliverables
• Support mobility advisory initiatives, including planning and global coordination projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA, Enrolled Agent, or other relevant tax designation
• Several years of experience in Canadian and/or US personal taxation, specifically within expatriate or mobility tax
• Strong working knowledge of applicable tax legislation and compliance processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and build trusted client relationships
