Manager Environmental Health & Safety

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and programs across Slovakia operations.
• Drive a strong safety culture through training, coaching, and engagement initiatives for over 1,200 employees.
• Ensure compliance with Slovak, European, and corporate EHS and fire prevention requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, emissions monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
• Manage internal and external audits to ensure continuous inspection readiness.
• Support occupational health programs, ergonomic improvements, and industrial hygiene initiatives.
• Drive sustainability and ESG projects, including energy efficiency and environmental improvement programs.
• Manage EHS budgets, performance metrics, and strategic improvement projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, industrial safety, risk assessment, and emergency management.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Fluent Slovak and professional English communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using EHS management systems and reporting tools.
