Manager Entertainment Technical

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, performance coaching, and feedback to a team of direct reports
• Lead Entertainment Technical staff regarding set-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of show equipment
• Prepare and communicate schedules, rehearsals, events, and department meetings
• Manage work orders, purchase requisitions, equipment inventories, and technical documentation
• Oversee facility maintenance for technical systems, music/video libraries, and product stock levels
• Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and track technician certifications
• Supervise band load in/out, sound and light checks, and show performances
• Partner with Marketing/Promotions for special events and promotional activities

Requirements

• Minimum five years experience in a technical role within a theatrical operation
• Previous leadership experience with strong delegation and organizational skills
• Broad knowledge of theatrical scenic, audio, lighting, lasers, video, show control, automation, rigging, and effects technology
• Strong computer programming and operational skills
• Understanding of Entertainment Creative Management roles
• Ability to live and work onboard a vessel in a multicultural environment
• Valid passport and ability to obtain a C1/D Seaman's visa
