Manager, Engineering Sciences- Materials

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on failure analysis investigations and root cause analysis for products across industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, and medical devices.
• Advise clients on the design, evaluation, and performance of electrical components, power systems, and control systems.
• Develop test plans and conduct experiments, including simulation and validation, to diagnose faults and ensure reliability.
• Prepare technically detailed documentation, including expert reports, schematics, and technical findings.
• Manage the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements, including project management and budget oversight.
• Participate in the preparation of hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Advise on global regulatory compliance and best manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion, or Electrochemistry.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering consulting.
• Specialized expertise in materials characterization techniques such as SEM, EDS, XPS, Auger, SIMS, FTIR, or X-ray.
• Proven experience with root cause analysis.
• Strong technical report writing and expert witness documentation skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
