Manager, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead, conduct, perform, summarize and report out product verification and testing activities
• Develop and execute validation plans covering protocol compliance, interoperability, performance, stress, and regression testing scenarios
• Collaborate with Design engineers to understand product functionality and resolve technical issues
• Perform functional and performance testing related to mechanical reliability and electrical performance
• Plan lab logistics and maintain material supply for testing requirements
• Diagnose, isolate, and investigate problem reports and defects
• Work with external vendors and test houses to outsource testing and procure fixtures
• Ensure good manufacturing and fixturing practices are followed in the verification process
• Identify and report quality or compliance concerns and take corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Approximately 5 years in product verification testing and performance testing
• Relevant durability and reliability testing experience of electro-mechanical products
• Understanding of test methods and processes for mechanical, electrical, and functional testing environments
• Basic hands-on experience in data analysis of performance testing and sample size calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering background with knowledge of validation and testing for electromechanical products
• Ability to install and commission testing equipment and liaison with suppliers
• Experience with procurement of testing fixtures and equipment accessories
• Ability to identify root causes of validation/testing problems and determine appropriate solutions
