Manager, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated engineering team focused on rearchitecting the parsing platform and data processing systems.
• Drive delivery aligned to quarterly priorities and roadmap commitments.
• Partner with Product and Architecture teams on planning and execution.
• Mentor and manage a team of engineers, providing coaching and performance management.
• Guide the development of high-performance services within a real-time data pipeline (streaming and batch).
• Ensure high standards for system reliability, data quality, and maintainability.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for collaboration between teams in North America and India.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle and lead hiring efforts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2–3+ years of experience in a management role.
• Proven experience leading teams of 5+ engineers delivering production systems.
• Strong background in backend or distributed systems.
• Experience with large-scale data or pipeline systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-throughput or real-time data processing systems.
• Familiarity with stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark).
• Experience with systems handling diverse or evolving data formats.
• Background in platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Exposure to cybersecurity or data-intensive domains.
