Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of Edge AI products including Automotive grade Edge AI computers and cameras
• Champion cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, test, regulatory, manufacturing, and installation teams
• Develop product specifications, design circuits, perform design reviews, and improve designs
• Generate working prototypes for proof of concept and customer demonstrations
• Lead hands-on involvement with building, debugging, and maintaining product builds
• Develop test plans and processes, execute testing, and guide validation of new designs
• Partner with vendors and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture electronic parts and modules
• Lead and mentor electrical engineering team members, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of work experience in related space
• 4+ years of management experience leading design and test engineers
• Experience building perception hardware like computers and cameras for vehicle installation
• Proven track record of delivering hardware products from concept to production
• Expert knowledge of circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and system validation testing
• Proficiency with design and simulation tools such as Orcad, Spice, Allegro, and Altium
• Hands-on experience with hardware lab equipment including high-speed scopes, VNAs, and logic analyzers
• Experience with high and low-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, HDMI/DP, GMSL, MIPI, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, CAN, etc.)
• Understanding of imaging components, image sensors, ISP, and optics selection
• Experience with GPS, 4G/LTE, 5G, WiFi, BLE, and RF antenna design/implementation
• Knowledge of regulatory testing and compliance (ESD, EMI, UL, SAE, Automotive standards) for Americas and EU
