Manager EHS - West

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional team of EHS Specialists with an environmental and safety operational focus.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations across 11 power plants in the Bay Area.
• Provide leadership to management on EHS issues, recommendations, and opportunities to foster a continuous improvement culture.
• Manage full human resources, cost, and budgetary accountabilities for the regional team.
• Develop and conduct employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs.
• Investigate environmental and safety incidents and recommend improvements in processes, design, and equipment operation.
• Coordinate the timely modification or renewal of all permits and supervise necessary testing.
• Manage large-scale projects and research innovations to develop new EHS processes, tools, and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Services, Health & Safety Sciences, Engineering, or Science.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental and safety disciplines.
• Previous work leadership experience with proven success in leading teams to achieve set goals.
• Extensive knowledge of state, federal, and local environmental and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• Experience working within the power generation industry.
