Manager, DM&C - S&T Analytics & Market Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team of commercial analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous innovation.
• Oversee the analysis of market fundamentals, pricing structures, and trade flows to inform global trading strategies.
• Partner with traders and analysts across Houston, San Ramon, Singapore, and London to align on arbitrage and supply/demand modeling.
• Guide the development of deterministic and dynamic models to identify trading opportunities in physical and financial markets.
• Champion the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to enhance trading performance.
• Integrate quantitative risk management methodologies into trading decisions and exposure strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Applied Math, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in energy trading, commodity markets, or commercial analytics.
• Minimum 2 years of direct people leadership or team management experience.
• Strong commercial judgment with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decisions at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA.
• Proficiency in Excel and at least one of Python or SQL.
• Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Experience with advanced modeling platforms like Databricks, DataRobot, or Dataiku.
• Prior experience in a trading house, energy major, or commodity-focused analytics organization.
• Cross-commodity expertise in crude, products, natural gas, LNG, or shipping.
