Manager, Distributed Energy Resources Operations

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the Distributed Generation Operations Center (DGOC) staff to ensure site performance goals are met.
• Oversee the monitoring, operation, and troubleshooting of distributed energy resources including BESS, solar, and microgrids.
• Develop and implement best practices, work process improvements, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, internal, and external reporting requirements.
• Manage team development by counseling, training, and evaluating personnel performance.
• Serve as a member of the on-call emergency response team, including after-hours operations when necessary.
• Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, business leaders, and political organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related 4-year technical degree.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience.
• Proven experience in Renewable Energy, Power Generation, and/or Energy Storage systems.
• Strong expertise in procedure writing and emergency action plan development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in electric utility projects or field operations.
• Experience with testing, commissioning, or maintenance of DER facilities.
• Previous experience managing a small group of engineers or technical resources.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and schedules.
• Working knowledge of the operating fundamentals and principles of DER systems and equipment.
