Manager, Data Science

Responsibilities

• Develop empirical models to investigate the MTG: Arena Player lifecycle and digital play format preferences
• Develop projections of revenue and engagement impact to inform digital game design and go-to-market executions
• Partner with other analysts to understand Magic fandom across different player segments
• Build dashboards and performance reporting in Tableau to provide real-time visibility into player lifecycle interactions and key KPIs

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience conducting predictive and causal analysis
• Degree in finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative discipline
• Experience conducting quantitative analyses in Python, R, or another programming language
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Ability to translate quantitative estimates into actionable findings for non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline
• Knowledge of and familiarity with trading card games, especially Magic: The Gathering
