About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical, statistical, and machine learning solutions to drive business impact.
- Own the end-to-end strategy for analytical modeling, data science frameworks, and decision-support tools.
- Develop predictive, prescriptive, and optimization models for demand forecasting, inventory, pricing, and consumer analytics.
- Build scalable data pipelines and modeling workflows using SQL, Python/R, and Spark.
- Establish modeling standards, documentation practices, and methodological governance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in Commercial, Operations, and Executive leadership to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and project teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in an analytical or data science role, specifically within the Consumer or Retail sectors.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational data modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical modeling and machine learning.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- BS/BA in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative field.
- Experience with cloud-based or distributed computing environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining both structured and unstructured datasets.
