Manager, Data Science

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical, statistical, and machine learning solutions to drive business impact.
• Own the end-to-end strategy for analytical modeling, data science frameworks, and decision-support tools.
• Develop predictive, prescriptive, and optimization models for demand forecasting, inventory, pricing, and consumer analytics.
• Build scalable data pipelines and modeling workflows using SQL, Python/R, and Spark.
• Establish modeling standards, documentation practices, and methodological governance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams in Commercial, Operations, and Executive leadership to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and project teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an analytical or data science role, specifically within the Consumer or Retail sectors.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• BS/BA in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with cloud-based or distributed computing environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining both structured and unstructured datasets.
