Manager - Data Science

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a global team of data scientists within the Underwriting AI team to deliver high-quality advanced analytics projects.
• Work with global business partners to determine analyses to be performed and manage requirements.
• Oversee and manage deliverables against timelines, ensuring high-quality and timely project delivery.
• Present results and insights to stakeholders and implement data science models in production environments.
• Develop and deploy scalable and efficient machine learning models that meet business KPIs post-production.
• Build and maintain reusable tools to streamline the modeling pipeline and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Implement best practices for versioning, monitoring, and reusability of machine learning solutions.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in delivering end-to-end data science models.
• Deep understanding of ML concepts, including Supervised/Unsupervised Learning and Ensemble Techniques.
• Strong technical knowledge of Random Forest, XGBoost, SVM, and Clustering.
• Proven experience managing and leading a data science or analytics team.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities and oversee deliverables.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with global business partners.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex results to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks and its ecosystem is an advantage.
