Manager - Data Center Asset Tracking and Accounting

Responsibilities

• Track and recover global data center infrastructure and assets through their entire lifecycle, including dispositions, transfers, and cycle counts.
• Own accounting and cost modeling for data center fixed assets such as AI compute systems, servers, networking, power, and cooling infrastructure.
• Establish capitalization policies, useful lives, depreciation methods, and impairment assessments.
• Manage end-to-end lease accounting under ASC 842, including identification, classification, and ongoing remeasurement.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, FP&A, and Engineering to establish scalable costing models and strengthen internal controls.
• Lead periodic physical inventory and ensure system records are aligned with physical infrastructure.
• Support IPO readiness by ensuring compliance with GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Big 4 accounting or within manufacturing, hardware, or infrastructure-intensive environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, costing methodologies, and fixed asset policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with lease accounting software (e.g., LeaseQuery).
• Experience automating processes related to data center asset management.
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
