About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage operational activities for the Avangrid Networks information security roadmap and lead the day-to-day workload of the security and NERC operations team
- Ensure security services and solutions comply with industry best practices and regulatory requirements including GDPR, SOX, CEII, and NERC
- Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics for cyber operations to present to management
- Lead, develop, and maintain Operations Security policies, rules, standards, and guidelines
- Oversee employees performing cyber vulnerability assessments and managing Protection Systems applications
- Ensure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches, is operated in compliance with documented policies
- Manage system security controls such as system hardening, patch management, and account management
- Drive data initiatives to integrate cybersecurity data into a data lake for actionable insights
Requirements
- Master's degree with 4+ years of experience in IT/OT, NERC/CIP, or Cybersecurity; OR Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years; OR Associate degree with 8+ years; OR 15+ years of relevant experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience over staff, projects, or contractors
- 2+ years of experience with Data Center and OT Infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability management
- Strong understanding of NERC/CIP standards and advanced networking
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in Business Decision Support including Cybersecurity Operations and performance reporting
- Experience with Access Control systems such as SSO, AD, TACACS, and MFA
- Experience with security infrastructure tools including IDS/IPS, WAF, and configuration management
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- Experience working within a utility or highly regulated federal/state environment
- Ability to obtain a secret level security clearance
