About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic and tactical management of the Bank’s global term funding, securitization, and capital issuance programs.
  • Minimize Bank funding costs while broadening the debit investor base to support growth objectives and competitive positioning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups, providing data-driven insights on liquidity, maturities, and funding strategies.
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute securitization and capital markets global funding programs.
  • Recommend optimal transaction pricing, terms, and sizes for various funding solutions, including credit cards, mortgages, and covered bonds.
  • Monitor market environments and risk metrics to ensure effective hedging strategies and structural market risk management.
  • Calculate forecasts for the bank’s structural cash position, liquidity metrics, and total loss-absorbing capacity (TLAC).
  • Leverage tools such as AI, SQL, and Python to enhance forecasting accuracy and automate processes.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Finance, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Treasury.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study.
  • In-depth expertise in financial analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets and/or securitization solutions with transaction experience.
  • Proficiency with market research tools, specifically Bloomberg.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B. Commerce, MBA Finance, CFA, CA, or CMA designation.
  • Experience with accounting or financial management systems.
  • Familiarity with fixed income markets.
