Manager, Corporate Development (M&A)

About the Company

Alloy River builds agentic applied AI for finance and accounting. We are re-architecting the general ledger from first principles, layering automation, workflow orchestration, and applied AI directly into its core to transform finance into a real-time, strategic engine.

Responsibilities

• Lead the diligence process across financial, operational, and commercial workstreams
• Build financial models to evaluate targets and determine valuation
• Create investment memos including strategic rationale and risk assessments
• Build relationships with founders, owners, and operators to maintain a deal pipeline
• Coordinate with external legal and financial advisors to move deals toward close
• Leverage AI tools to increase the speed and depth of diligence and analysis

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in transaction services, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or management consulting
• Strong financial modelling skills with ability to build models from scratch
• Experience managing due diligence across multiple workstreams
• Clear and confident communication skills for senior audiences
• Highly organized with ability to manage tight timelines and ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CFA designation
• Experience acquiring or advising professional services firms, accounting firms, or SMBs
• Familiarity with AI tools for financial analysis or deal management
