Manager, Corporate and Foundation Relations Programs

The Division of University Advancement (DUA) aims to sustain and enhance the University of Toronto’s academic mission, leadership, and worldwide impact by engaging alumni and private sector constituents meaningfully in the mission of the University.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs and contribute to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition
• Identify, evaluate and recommend the necessary steps to bring prospects closer to making a major financial commitment
• Write project-specific proposals related to fundraising campaigns
• Cultivate and solicit current and prospective major gift donors through tailored stewardship programs
• Manage donor relations and meet face-to-face with potential donors
• Write briefing notes, solicitation plans and call reports to track donor interaction
• Produce complex donor reports and manage the University's sponsorship program
• Conduct research on corporations and foundations to identify potential donors

Requirements

• University degree with a specialization in business or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in advancement or fundraising
• Demonstrated expertise in project management
• Experience in a post-secondary environment strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Proficiency with CRM systems (ARBOR preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in foundation giving or corporate relationships
