About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the co-op team and student staff
- Manage the delivery of high-quality co-op programming and ensure alignment with institutional priorities
- Oversee program planning, accreditation compliance (CEWIL), and curriculum development
- Lead data-informed decision-making through the analysis of student outcomes and employer engagement metrics
- Collaborate with the Manager of Business Development to support employer relationships and job development
- Manage budgets for career and co-op initiatives, events, and programming
- Provide guidance on escalated workplace concerns, risk management, and conflict resolution
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including those in conflict with one's own
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Proven supervisory experience managing professional staff
- Experience managing career services or co-op/Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards, labour markets, and student development theory
- Experience developing industry partnerships and working with employers
- Strong data analysis, communication, presentation, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and program evaluation
