About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage a medium- to large-sized portfolio of complex construction loans, specifically multifamily low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) transactions.
- Perform monthly due diligence on borrower draw requisitions, including documentation verification and tracking budgeted sources/uses.
- Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers and coordinate with internal and external partners such as Project Managers, Closers, and inspectors.
- Manage the end-to-end loan lifecycle, including transaction document review, closing coordination, and initial draw setup.
- Oversee daily operations including bank-controlled accounts (BCAs), budget tracking, change orders, equity contributions, and insurance compliance.
- Monitor loan maturities, coordinate extensions, process payoffs, and execute permanent loan conversions.
- Lead team training, onboard new members, and drive strategic process improvement projects.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction loan management.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting and loan operations.
- Experience with the direct preparation, review, or processing of loan documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience.
- 6+ years of experience in construction loan management.
- Experience with construction lending, LIHTC investment, or syndication.
- Strong critical thinking, credit analysis, and problem-solving skills.
