About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute integrated multi-channel communications and marketing strategies and operations
- Act as the primary point of contact for media enquiries and manage media relations
- Provide detailed analysis, briefing notes, and recommendations to academic and executive leadership regarding contentious media issues
- Write and edit high-quality copy and content to advance Faculty-wide strategic priorities, including digital and philanthropic content
- Ensure all marketing and communication collateral adheres to brand identity and University style guides
- Manage and maintain the Faculty's presence across various social media platforms
- Supervise, mentor, and direct the activities of staff members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
- Minimum five years of professional communication and writing experience
- Proven experience in multi-channel marketing strategy and brand management
- Experience in media relations, issues management, and serving as a media spokesperson
- Experience writing engaging content for digital platforms and philanthropic purposes (e.g., donor reports, funding proposals)
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience editing text in Adobe InDesign
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, research, and proofreading skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the legal and business community
- Experience leading internal committees or working groups
