Manager, Club Finance

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analyst on the Leaguewide economic model to identify financial trends and evaluate strategic initiatives.
• Develop and enhance financial models used during Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations to evaluate cost vs. benefit.
• Lead analysis on the League financial environment, including revenue sharing, debt financing, stadium financing, and player costs.
• Create annual League economic management reports and 5-year projection reports for club owners.
• Collaborate with IT and Business Intelligence teams to build financial systems and dynamic dashboards.
• Conduct forecasts on ticketing trends and analytics to support revenue sharing and player cost calculations.
• Analyze club financial projections to create presentations for the Commissioner, Finance Committee, and club owners.
• Address ad hoc requests involving League-wide financial and benchmarking information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Finance).
• 5+ years of experience in a finance or quantitative field.
• At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining comprehensive financial models.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Superior analytical skills with the ability to analyze data at both micro and macro levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Python, or other coding languages.
• Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI.
