Manager, Climate Strategy, Learn. & Ops, Solutions & Impact

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, setting strategic direction and aligning work planning with departmental priorities.
• Drive departmental integration and operationalize the climate Knowledge Bank to link global expertise with regional operations.
• Oversee strategic climate trust funds, partnership platforms, and fundraising agendas to ensure alignment with donor resources and operational demand.
• Lead the knowledge, learning, and climate network agenda, including practitioner exchanges and technical tool dissemination.
• Provide leadership visibility across budgets, trust-funded activities, delivery pipelines, and operational risks through advanced analytics and reporting.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven experience in climate, environment, or mitigation and adaptation within relevant sectors.
• Demonstrated team management experience, including managing staff, programs, and budgets.
• Experience working within complex, cross-departmental, and matrixed organizational environments.
• Strong track record in donor engagement, fundraising, and partnership management.
• Extensive knowledge of World Bank Group instruments, operational policies, and procedures.
• Experience working in at least two world regions or a combination of regional and corporate assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Field experience in regional or country-level operations.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus and influence senior stakeholders in a global institutional setting.
