About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement primary goals, operating plans, and objectives for the Client Service Department
  • Facilitate client concerns and communicate them to appropriate personnel
  • Manage the department to maintain or improve laboratory efficiency and quality
  • Hire personnel and determine technical training needs
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing guidance
  • Evaluate client complaints and trends to recommend improvements
  • Ensure the Quality Management System is maintained in accordance with ISO 17025 standards

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of laboratory experience
  • 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
