About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement primary goals, operating plans, and objectives for the Client Service Department
- Facilitate client concerns and communicate them to appropriate personnel
- Manage the department to maintain or improve laboratory efficiency and quality
- Hire personnel and determine technical training needs
- Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing guidance
- Evaluate client complaints and trends to recommend improvements
- Ensure the Quality Management System is maintained in accordance with ISO 17025 standards
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a closely related field
- 5+ years of laboratory experience
- 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
