About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the right-hand person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
- Support restaurant operations, including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
- Lead and mentor Team Members, Shift Leaders, and hourly staff through training and candid feedback
- Manage restaurant equipment maintenance and perform regular quality line checks
- Assist the GM with personnel decisions, including hiring, promotions, and training development
- Perform various floor roles such as food server, expo, or line cook when necessary
Requirements
- Dependable team player with strong multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and vendors
- Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, damp, and hot environment
- Proficiency in using kitchen machinery and sharp utensils
