About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the "right-hand" person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
- Support restaurant operations, including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
- Oversee team member performance, training, and professional development
- Ensure high standards of food and beverage preparation, storage, and presentation
- Maintain compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
- Manage vendor invoices, food ordering systems, and cash/POS accuracy
- Lead shifts by following operational systems and performing quality line checks
- Assist the GM with inventory counts, reconciliation, and personnel decisions
Requirements
- Dependable team player with strong multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and vendors
- Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, damp, and hot kitchen environment
- Proficiency in using kitchen machinery and sharp utensils
