About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the "right-hand" person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
- Support restaurant operations, including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
- Oversee team member performance, training, and professional development
- Ensure high standards of food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation
- Maintain compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
- Manage restaurant equipment maintenance and vendor invoices
- Lead shifts by following operational systems, performing quality line checks, and ensuring cash/POS accuracy
- Assist the GM with personnel decisions, including hiring, promotions, and training
Requirements
- Dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
- Ability to work in a damp, hot environment and use kitchen machinery safely
