Manager Category Procurement

Responsibilities

• Define and implement global category strategies for Primary Packaging with an approximate $100MM spend
• Serve as the primary point of contact for division category needs and nurture stakeholder relationships
• Manage all category contractual obligations, including complex contract negotiations
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities such as design for sourcing, innovation, and cost efficiencies
• Monitor market dynamics, supplier competitive landscapes, and pricing/costing strategies
• Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reductions through advanced analytics
• Measure and track category performance to achieve best-in-class results
• Mentor, train, and develop talent within the procurement organization

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, including technical or engineering category experience
• Bachelor's degree in Packaging with supply chain experience or a technical Engineering degree with relevant procurement experience
• Strong project management skills with the ability to develop actionable implementation plans
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
• Strong communication, influence, and networking skills
• Experience leading teams and managing interdisciplinary stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or PMP
• International experience and knowledge of global markets by region
