Manager, Business Development

Responsibilities

• Analyze new business opportunities and existing customer profitability to drive strategic growth
• Acquire and validate data from prospective new customers to support feasibility planning
• Provide data-driven direction to Distribution, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance departments
• Prepare proforma models for new business and "what if" scenarios to improve company profitability
• Assist in the preparation and submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Participate in meetings with potential customers to explain proposals and obtain necessary data
• Recommend new fees upon the expiration of existing customer contracts
• Participate in the company's long-term strategic planning processes

Requirements

• 4-year degree in business, marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or the food distribution industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and certificate of auto insurance
• Ability to travel up to 50% by automobile and air
