About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, and secure co-op, internship, and full-time employment opportunities by engaging employers across priority sectors.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with industry associations, community partners, and alumni to expand recruitment pipelines.
- Conduct market and sector analyses to assess hiring trends and inform employer outreach strategies.
- Design and facilitate employer-student engagement activities, including networking events, information sessions, and workplace tours.
- Provide evidence-based feedback to academic leaders regarding industry expectations and evolving career pathways.
- Oversee CRM records to document employer interactions and track business development metrics.
- Lead and coach a team of professional staff and student workers.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of six years of related business experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Graduate degree.
- Experience in business development, B2B sales, recruitment, or industry engagement.
- Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends to support events.
