Manager, Build Reliability

Responsibilities

• Grow the production focused Reliability team by hiring and developing quality personnel
• Develop and improve quality processes including non-conformance, supplier evaluation, and PFMEAs
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to create quality plans from receiving to vehicle handoff
• Design quality plans that support lean manufacturing and rapid production
• Investigate failures, drive corrective actions, and lead containment efforts
• Work with engineering teams to implement change control into design and build workflows
• Manage supplier quality processes and analyze quality metrics
• Establish and report on key quality metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, mathematics, or relevant engineering discipline
• 4+ years of experience leading or managing large teams on technically complex projects
• 6+ years of experience in high volume, rapid production manufacturing or quality engineering
• Deep hardware manufacturing experience with machined parts, mechanisms, electrical assemblies, PCBAs, and harnessing
• Experience managing vendors, suppliers, and strategic technical partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with quality inspection techniques such as NDE/NDT methods
• Experience developing non-conformance documentation and corrective action systems
• Experience leading organizations through AS9100D compliance and audits
• Experience developing PFMEAs for complex processes
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing of complex assemblies
• Experience with solar module lines, battery manufacturing, or cleanroom environments
• Active Top Secret or DoD Secret clearance with SAP eligibility
