About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all activities of a small to medium full-service branch office to ensure efficient operations and high-quality member service
- Lead, motivate, and develop the branch team to provide a full range of products including lending and depository accounts
- Oversee cash operations, vault procedures, and branch self-auditing efforts to secure credit union assets
- Drive branch productivity through employee training, goal setting, and the elimination of operational inefficiencies
- Lead local marketing and promotional activities, including financial presentations and community events
- Manage staff lifecycle including recruiting, selection, onboarding, and performance appraisals
- Ensure strict compliance with all security, safety, emergency preparedness, and HR policies
- Analyze business reports and trends to optimize performance and solve complex operational problems
Requirements
- Three years of experience in grade level 76 or equivalent applicable external experience
- Experience leading and managing in diverse and complex operational environments
- Advanced knowledge of federal regulations governing consumer lending, mortgages, and depository accounts
- Proficiency in cash and ATM operations
- Proven experience in supervising, training, and developing staff
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret statistics and business trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, and internal procedures
