About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all activities of a small to medium full-service branch office to ensure efficient operations and high-quality member service
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the branch team to provide a full range of products including lending and depository accounts
  • Oversee cash operations, vault procedures, and branch self-auditing efforts to secure credit union assets
  • Drive branch productivity through employee training, goal setting, and the elimination of operational inefficiencies
  • Lead local marketing and promotional activities, including financial presentations and community events
  • Manage staff lifecycle including recruiting, selection, onboarding, and performance appraisals
  • Ensure strict compliance with all security, safety, emergency preparedness, and HR policies
  • Analyze business reports and trends to optimize performance and solve complex operational problems

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in grade level 76 or equivalent applicable external experience
  • Experience leading and managing in diverse and complex operational environments
  • Advanced knowledge of federal regulations governing consumer lending, mortgages, and depository accounts
  • Proficiency in cash and ATM operations
  • Proven experience in supervising, training, and developing staff
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret statistics and business trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, and internal procedures
