About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all activities of a small to medium full-service branch office to ensure operational excellence and member service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the branch team to achieve product, service, and business goals.
  • Oversee cash operations, vault procedures, and branch self-auditing efforts to secure credit union assets.
  • Manage staff performance through recruiting, onboarding, training, and conducting regular performance appraisals.
  • Drive branch productivity by implementing employee training and eliminating operational inefficiencies.
  • Lead local marketing and promotional activities, including financial presentations and community events.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all security, safety, HR policies, and federal consumer lending regulations.
  • Analyze business reports and trends to optimize branch performance and solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in grade level 76 or equivalent applicable external experience.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams in complex operational environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal consumer lending regulations and financial products (mortgage, credit cards, savings/checking).
  • Strong knowledge of cash and ATM operations.
  • Experience in supervising, training, and developing staff.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
