About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Automation Engineering team in Mexico, setting clear priorities and expectations aligned with regional strategy.
  • Drive the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of automation engineering solutions to support business growth and customer value.
  • Oversee automation engineering activities across project execution, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build team capability through active coaching, professional development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including project, service, sales, and customer-facing teams.
  • Ensure all engineering activities align with company standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Drive simplification, standardization, and productivity improvements across all automation engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial systems.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Automation Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a global company.
  • Proven experience managing a team of at least 10 direct reports.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong skills in strategic mindset, project management, and conflict management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus.
