Manager Application Support

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 10-15 software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee end-to-end solution architecture and technology roadmaps on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Drive Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and retrospectives.
• Serve as a primary liaison between business users, application vendors, and internal IT/DevOps teams.
• Deliver scalable and secure solutions using Azure tools such as Fabric, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
• Manage project budgets, analyze cost projections, and differentiate between Capex and non-Capex work.
• Communicate project status, risks, and technical solutions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams of 10-15 developers.
• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure, specifically Fabric, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL and maintaining ETL processes.
• Proficiency in .NET, Python, or similar development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar workflow tracking tools.
• Strong ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing AI systems.
• Knowledge of Calpine Energy Solutions’ business processes.
• Experience optimizing Azure resource costs using Azure Cost Management.
