Manager Aircraft Maintenance Planning

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Maintenance Planning department to ensure efficient delivery of commitments to service providers, staff, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and operate department procedures to meet national airworthiness regulations and KPI dashboards.
• Establish efficient internal procedures and interface with other departments to support objectives.
• Deliver annual budgets for maintenance costs.
• Manage workforce performance using company appraisal systems and implement development actions.
• Interface with network scheduling departments regarding the creation of maintenance slots.
• Oversee the life cycle of maintenance projects, including pre-input and wash-up meetings for A checks and higher.
• Investigate and remedy quality lapses and monitor technical records to comply with CAMO regulations.

Requirements

• Technical academic degree or HND in aeronautical engineering, or an ICAO type I or type II license.
• Minimum of seven years of operational experience in a Maintenance Planning environment.
• Demonstrated management or supervisory level experience.
• Proven MRO or aviation-related operational experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness and Health and Safety legislation.
• Strong planning, operational, and crisis management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
