Manager, AI Deployment Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of AI Deployment Engineers supporting enterprise customers.
• Own the quality and impact of the team’s work across solution design, implementation, production readiness, and adoption.
• Coach the team through complex decisions involving architecture, model selection, evaluations, reliability, and security.
• Establish operating models for prioritizing accounts and engagements based on strategic value and technical complexity.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point during critical launches and production incidents.
• Partner with customer executives to connect deployment decisions to measurable business outcomes.
• Translate customer needs and recurring challenges into actionable feedback for Product, Research, and Engineering teams.
• Develop reusable architectures, evaluation approaches, playbooks, and tooling to improve time to value.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing customer-facing technical teams (e.g., Solutions Architects, Deployment Engineers, or Technical Account Managers).
• Proven track record of leading teams responsible for deploying complex software, data, machine learning, or AI systems in enterprise environments.
• Technical depth to evaluate architectures and coach engineers through implementation decisions.
• Experience taking AI, machine learning, or other complex systems from prototype to production.
• Understanding of production system requirements including reliability, observability, security, and data governance.
• Experience working with large, complex organizations and multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong executive presence and ability to build trust with senior technical and business leaders.
• Ability to design operating models, coverage strategies, and repeatable delivery processes.
