Manager, AI Deployment Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of AI Deployment Engineers supporting enterprise customers.
• Own the quality and impact of the team’s work across solution design, implementation, production readiness, and adoption.
• Coach engineers through complex decisions involving architecture, model selection, reliability, latency, safety, and security.
• Establish operating models for prioritizing accounts based on strategic value and technical complexity.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point during critical launches, production incidents, and high-stakes customer decisions.
• Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate customer needs into actionable product signals and reusable deployment patterns.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing customer-facing technical teams (e.g., Solutions Architects, Deployment Engineers, or Technical Account Managers).
• Proven track record of leading teams responsible for deploying complex software, machine learning, or AI systems in enterprise environments.
• Deep technical depth to evaluate architectures and coach engineers through difficult implementation decisions.
• Experience taking technically complex systems from prototype to production-grade environments.
• Strong understanding of production system requirements, including reliability, observability, security, and data governance.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to build trust with engineering leaders and business executives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large, complex organizations involving multiple business units and rigorous governance requirements.
• Experience designing operating models, coverage strategies, or repeatable delivery processes for growing technical organizations.
• Background in deploying generative AI, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale data platforms.
