Manager Aggregates Plant

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the sand mine, including supervision of salaried and hourly employees
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, track costs, and manage purchasing for the operation
• Direct production to meet goals and utilize KPIs to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain a safe, environmentally compliant operation in accordance with MSHA, OSHA, and local regulations
• Interface with Corporate Mine Planning and local QC staff to develop short-term and long-term mining plans
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and manage contracts and contractors
• Act as a company representative to maintain positive community relations
• Ensure compliance with zoning and related permits

Requirements

• 3 years of mine supervision experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment and perform occasional physical labor
• Ability to work extended hours and participate in required overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD
• Desire and ability to learn detailed mining software such as Surpac Quarry
