About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead LA28 point of contact with local authorities, civil aviation regulators, and public safety agencies to secure airspace permissions
- Navigate city, regional, and federal requirements to secure flight paths for Games coverage
- Support contract negotiations for hangar space, office, and storage facilities
- Develop and maintain the Master Aerial Operations Schedule
- Liaise with the LA28 Aerial Task Force and aviation providers to integrate aerial plans with security frameworks
- Work in the Master Control Room during Games-time to coordinate real-time aerial operations
- Oversee the execution of scheduled aerial coverage for ceremonies, competitions, and flybys
- Coordinate risk management responses and escalate safety or compliance issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Preferably 7+ years of experience in large-scale event planning, broadcast operations, or aviation coordination
- Experience with regulatory and compliance processes and timelines
- Proven success building relationships with diverse stakeholders and third parties
