About the role
Responsibilities
- Support federal, state, and local advocacy campaigns alongside senior team members and client account teams
- Track issues, monitor legislative developments, and recommend updates to advocacy content and outreach plans
- Assist with fly-ins, lobby days, coalition meetings, stakeholder briefings, and webinars
- Draft and edit action alerts, newsletters, social content, talking points, and client materials
- Manage digital assets for social channels and websites to ensure accuracy and alignment with client objectives
- Coordinate tasks across creative, data, digital, technology, and client service teams
- Research policymakers, agencies, committees, and stakeholder audiences to support strategy
- Track campaign activity, prepare status updates, and support reporting against client goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, or a related field
- Working understanding of the legislative process
- Strong writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with digital advocacy tools, CRM systems, email platforms, and social media tools
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Capitol Hill, campaign, association, corporate government affairs, or agency experience
- Experience coordinating events such as lobby days, webinars, or fly-ins
- Experience with social media management, social listening, or project management tools
