About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support federal, state, and local advocacy campaigns alongside senior team members and client account teams
  • Track issues, monitor legislative developments, and recommend updates to advocacy content and outreach plans
  • Assist with fly-ins, lobby days, coalition meetings, stakeholder briefings, and webinars
  • Draft and edit action alerts, newsletters, social content, talking points, and client materials
  • Manage digital assets for social channels and websites to ensure accuracy and alignment with client objectives
  • Coordinate tasks across creative, data, digital, technology, and client service teams
  • Research policymakers, agencies, committees, and stakeholder audiences to support strategy
  • Track campaign activity, prepare status updates, and support reporting against client goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, or a related field
  • Working understanding of the legislative process
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with digital advocacy tools, CRM systems, email platforms, and social media tools
  • Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Capitol Hill, campaign, association, corporate government affairs, or agency experience
  • Experience coordinating events such as lobby days, webinars, or fly-ins
  • Experience with social media management, social listening, or project management tools
