Manager, Accounts Payable

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists
• Oversee day-to-day AP operations including workload distribution and queue management
• Oversee end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, including 2-way and 3-way PO matching
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of ACH, wire, and check payments
• Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor payment disputes and reconciliation issues
• Design, implement, and monitor AP internal controls to prevent fraud and unauthorized disbursements
• Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and tax regulations
• Own the AP sub-ledger and ensure timely month-end close and accruals
• Prepare and present AP metrics and KPIs such as DPO and aging analysis
• Identify and drive process automation and efficiency opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and large data set reconciliation
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• SOX compliance experience in a public company environment
• Experience supporting cross-border or multi-currency payment operations
