Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain understanding of corporate accounting business processes
• Coordinate and support SOX compliance efforts to ensure regulatory adherence
• Support the Corporate Accounting team during month end close procedures
• Maintain and update documentation including process narratives, risk control matrices, and flowcharts
• Serve as a liaison between external auditors, internal auditors, and internal teams
• Perform quality assurance over controls documentation
• Track control deficiencies and work with owners to execute remediation plans
• Partner with process owners to design and integrate controls into business processes
• Assist in designing and implementing internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) for new systems
• Identify opportunities to automate manual controls and leverage technology
• Provide training and guidance on SOX requirements and best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or public accounting
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and COSO framework
• Experience working with a public company
• Understanding of IT General Controls and segregation of duties
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or information systems
• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification
• Experience working with SOX compliance tools or platforms
• Familiarity with the technology industry
