Manager, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Supervise payment activities, including accounts payable, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
• Manage and develop the Accounts Payable team, establishing control mechanisms and monitoring performance.
• Oversee purchase contracts, vendor liabilities, and the accurate storage of accounting documents.
• Manage fixed assets and promotional inventory, coordinating periodic physical counts and system reconciliations.
• Oversee commission payments for insurance partners and manage business budget advances/reimbursements.
• Manage payment systems on the BPM application and participate in automation projects to increase productivity.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, tax reports, and intercompany reconciliations for the region and group.
• Analyze variances in operating and management expenses and ensure timely accruals and allocations.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve internal controls and provide guidance on tax and accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
• At least 4 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or management reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel (automation, visualization) and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACCA or CPA certification.
• Previous experience working within the insurance industry.
• Experience with SunSystems or similar accounting software.
